Theresa Illich is a newly Colorado-based flutist and teacher. As a graduate of the University of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance and Music Education, she studied with Christopher Kruger. Theresa enjoyed freelancing in New England as a substitute player for various orchestras and ensembles, as well as her time as a member of The Valley Winds, based in Belchertown, MA.
As a soloist and chamber musician, she gives themed public concerts to promote classical and new flute music. Aside from her performing career, Theresa has a passion for education. In addition to teaching privately, she gives lessons and masterclasses to middle and high school groups on topics like practice techniques, performance preparation, and section playing. In addition to working with kids and teens, she has a particular interest and notable experience teaching adult students.
