Recitals

Recitals are an important component of music lessons.

It is never easy performing for an audience. Whether singing or playing an instrument, recitals build character and confidence in many ways. Here are just a few:

Nothing pushes a student to practice like knowing there is a performance coming their way.

Recitals provide low stress, high quality performance opportunities.

Preparation for performance teaches valuable skills and habits that often follow a person throughout their life.  Skills like time management, attention to detail, discipline, concentration and focus.

Recitals allow students the opportunity to see how other students handle the pressure of performing and learn from their triumphs and mistakes.

Performing brings instant feedback through audience reaction and applause.

Performance is not required at the Denver Music Institute but is always encouraged.  The benefits far outway the fears. The reality is, music does not exist until it is shared.
