Originally a radio station in the 1970s, then becoming the Denver Music Institute in 1999, DMI has been a staple in Denver and surrounding areas for local musicians. Starting July of 2016, business partners, Alan Currens and Dana Wield took ownership of DMI with a vision in mind.

OUR TEACHERS are working professionals. We believe a working pro will not only teach the essentials of music, but will also infuse advice and skills that translate to a students abilities and comfort level when working with others in a performance or collaborative situation.

OUR FACILITY is equipped with instruments, surveillance, and group or private studios.

OUR BAND ROOM is out-fitted with great sound equipment, large screen smart TV, drum set, guitar, amps and keys provided.

OUR EXTRA CURRICULARS include master classes & workshops with live & skyped guest host from around the country and around the world.

Giving back has been in our DNA from the start. Denver Music Institute is a part of a family of companies, called Emergent, that has committed to giving back. Every company gives the first 20% of profits to the 501(c)(3) UnbridledACTS – over $1.5 million, so far.

UnbridledACTS is an active organization and group of partnerships that do life differently. It’s about building restorative family-oriented communities, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs, and promoting freedom and dignity for vulnerable and exploited populations throughout the world.
