Calvin was born in Texas in 1984. He grew up near Indianapolis, and went to Indiana University where he studied German language and Music.
He was 10 years old when he first started playing guitar, and had his first gig his junior year in high school, at a local arcade. Humble beginnings:) Since college, Calvin has lived in both Denver and Portland ME, settling in Denver because of the awesome climate and outdoors lifestyle. Has have been playing professionally since 2012, and has become a core member of the destination wedding and event band, Mannequin. Mannequin is a true variety band that pushes the envelope of all of its musicians abilities to cross genre styles, a difficult thing to do if you want to do it well.
Of all the styles of music, Calvin says his favorites to play are funk, rock, and jazz. Outside of music, he has a career in nonprofits and spends his free time doing stuff in the mountains.
